Black Flag Schwarzbier

Say it with us, "Sh-var-ts-beer", thats German for "black beer". The Black Flag was used in maritime war to signal parlay with your enemy, and this roasted lager will have your taste buds calling a truce to the summertime heat. Darker in color than a Dunkel lager the roasted malts lend a drier finish but never tasting burnt or astringent. Smooth malts in the foreground will give way to a mild hop bitterness that come from a blend of German varieties. When held to the light you should be able to see the "ruby heart" of the beer.
