Lots of sweet raisin and dried fruit, flavour resonates around the palate, rich and full bodied. It's held up well and with time it's become wonderfully mellow, a sipping beer and one to sit back and contemplate life

Loads more aroma than the 99, pouring with a fresher foam head, taste is spikier but with the same lushness coming through from the belly.

Doing alright for 23 years. Getting a bit of a minty flavour though.
Adrian Bracher is drinking a Vintage Ale (2000) by Fuller's Griffin Brewery at Craft Beer Junction
Sweet grain and cereal malts, molasses, bread, black tea. Clear, dark gold, small, frothy, off-white head. Light bitter. Bittersweet grain and cereal, subtle oxidisation, molasses, tea, soft carb, full bod. Very nice aroma, aged well for aroma.

It’s in great shape, mild oxidation, toffee, caramel, toasted malts, stewed fruits. Solid.

Vintage Ale 2000. 7000th checkin. My birthday. Beat that! I also brought out the #1 album of all time for this: Leatherface - Mush. So here I am, couchless and alone on my birthday. (Not mentioning the birthday dinner yesterday or the birthday party ->
Purchased at Windlesham
Stig Bjørnsen: tomorrow. Or that my fancy new couch arrives tomorrow.) And would you believe me if I told you that this beer (that’s been alive more than half my lifetime) tastes rather nice? Ashy, toffee-ish aroma. Toffee, prunes, and something indescribably ->
Stig Bjørnsen: berry/fruity. Earthy. Circumstances gives this 5*. (Realistically? 4*) Bottle #56068. Best before 2003. XL bottle (0,55L).
Stephen Bruce: This is officially the greatest Untappd checkin ever.
Stig Bjørnsen: Stephen B. Would it have been the greatest checkin ever even without the flag?
Stephen Bruce: I concede the flag swung it.
Bottle #70091. The Grand Vintage Tasting. The flavor is dark fruits, sugary sweetness, mild hoppy notes (not that fresh any more), mild bitterness and dry maltiness. Quite nice. Quite a lot different beer than the 1999 vintage.
