Sweet grain and cereal malts, molasses, bread, black tea. Clear, dark gold, small, frothy, off-white head. Light bitter. Bittersweet grain and cereal, subtle oxidisation, molasses, tea, soft carb, full bod. Very nice aroma, aged well for aroma.

Stig Bjørnsen: tomorrow. Or that my fancy new couch arrives tomorrow.) And would you believe me if I told you that this beer (that’s been alive more than half my lifetime) tastes rather nice? Ashy, toffee-ish aroma. Toffee, prunes, and something indescribably ->

Bottle #70091. The Grand Vintage Tasting. The flavor is dark fruits, sugary sweetness, mild hoppy notes (not that fresh any more), mild bitterness and dry maltiness. Quite nice. Quite a lot different beer than the 1999 vintage.
