I really dont know how to rate this. It says best by 2016 LOL Its thin for barrel aged. It starts like cherry cola and ends like coffee. Flat non-sweet cherry cola with whiskey, little bit o peet and coffee. Not bad! Totally flat.

Tommy Two Gloves: Weird beer! 😂🍻
Ed Roppo: Wait, 1991? Is that the year it was brewed??
Chris Honcoop: Ed R. It was bottled in 2013. It was aged in whiskey casks used for 1991 whiskey which apparently was the best year for that whiskey. I dont know how long they barrel aged it (so when it was brewed).

Best before April 2016. Smokey and peated low carbed black oil. Coffee, roast, syrup, dark chocolate, vanilla, spices and caramel. Bit thin mouthfeel wise. Stood up well though, except for the carbonation...

From the back of the frig. Bottle #03344 out of 20K bottles in 1991. Bottles on April 13. The Highland Park whisky cask aging is amazing. A Christmas gift many years ago from my brother.

Never had something so perfectly nailed a scotch barrel. Smokey, that classic scotch fruit body, and a little bit of oil on the finish.

Not had this beer since 2014. It is near flat though it has that boozy burn. While not great it is better than some new fresh beers. Still smoky and slightly sweet. Paired well with a turkey burger with smoked Gouda and jalapeño.
