After almost 5 years it's mellow and warm. The plum is only left to tantalize the nose, but absent from the pallet. The heat on the back of the throat is pronounced and it's a touch spicy. Great scotch notes play over all of the scenes.

After 8 years it is unimpressive. Too sweet and not much of the complexity from the aging is there anymore. Still very drinkable, which I certainly did.

This was the 2017 vintage. At six years old, it was surprisingly sweet and full of tannins. It did not have as much depth as I remember from the younger pour. Still a great beer with great flavors and an enjoyable mouth feel.
