Mortal Bloom by Founders Brewing Co.

Citrus forward with a lemon zest, light herbal and pine notes, light malt sweetness with some biscuit. Taste is more tropical than aroma with pineapple & mango, herbal and pine notes, backed by oat/wheat. Lacks that presentation and emphatic of the style.

Nose is spot on. I get hints of coconut, salty pecans, sweet cream, fudge, and chocolate syrup. Super rich and aromatic. Sweet but not overly so. Really impressive overall. Angry Chair consistently delivers an amazing desert stout!!! Cheers 🍻

Roasted dark malts... bold noble hops.... very well made beer.... really really tasty stuff... I am digging this beer a lot... made with locally sourced malts and they are the star of the show and are definitely showing out!! Cheers 🍻

Good, but world class is a stretch. Looks great with a nice color, ok head, nice lacing. Unremarkable nose. Best feature is a taste that combines maltiness w/o sugariness with hoppiness without bitterness, all of which pleasantly lingers on the palate.🍻

Lamplighter IPA by Druid City Brewing Company

Interesting take on an IPA; more of a throw back compared to the juice bombs of today. Slightly heavier malt presence creates a sweeter sip, but overall well balanced with a pleasant hoppiness. Solid not spectacular, but refreshing enough to drink again.
