Ty Cole is drinking a 7th Anniversary Chocolate & Sea Salt Imperial Stout by Westbrook Brewing Co. at Saulter's Rd House
Had 1st bottle after arrival in B’ham 2017. Pours out like motor oil (always a good sign for an Imp Stout 😁). Aging has made it thicker, more chocolate w/ only a hint of sea salt (a lot of sea salt if you do not like SS). So aging worked on this one!

Not sure why 5 years later after finding this batch in Asheville, I find it again in another store - same batch (also batch 12). Still a great complex beer - see their description, head numbing. Aging is heavy caramel and red wine. it’s broken down a bit.

Seems to be more alcohol strong first pour out of the bottle - not complaining. The orange peels are there but less prominent when fresh. Slowly turning into the regular w/ a hind of Orange garnish. The booze flavor dominates though! ❤️ the BCS series.

Dang this is tasty. The barrel aging in the caves below Grand Rapids creates the depth and creativity of this brew. Huge coffee bean aromas & flavors w/ bourbon notes. Final ‘19 barrel series w/ KBS, CBS, Mas Agave & Backwoods Bastard! Aging nicely.
