Brasserie de Silly has taken their signature Silly Sour and taken it to a whole new level. Completely unblended Sour ale, this beer lacks the 13-15% saison normally blended into Silly Sour. The result is a deep garnet colored beer with aromas of tart cherries and raspberries. The intial taste is puckeringly sour with a soft sweet undertone and a thick lactic acid heavy mouthfeel. While the finish is not cloying, it lingers more than its original version. 5.5% ABV Read Less

Silly Scotch was born from a unique tradition and, throughout the years, has grown into a reference beer for its particular style. Its lovely red colour with more than a hint of copper is hidden below a beige head. Its complex aromas breathe the scent of brioche accompanied by raisins, fruit jam and fresh raspberry. This is a generous, full-mouthed beer reminiscent of a liqueur. The initial, most striking impressions are those of honey and caramel. The flavours of prunes and roast malt come through in the finish. There is a refreshing aftertaste. Read Less

A unique, light taste offering, at the same time, subtle touches of sweets and fruit.
A refreshing beer that calls out for another one.

Created in Silly in 1850 and can be considered as the original Saison. This beer has been created in the farmhouse brewery during the winter and served to the seasonal workers doing the harvest in the summer. Its dark colour is due to the fact that initially in 1850, the barley was malted in the farm and it was always producing dark malt grains.
Its taste is remarkable, light and favourably combined to offer a tone that is both modestly sweetened and fruity, leaving the mouth with a refreshing feel as is constantly asked of it. Read Less

This is a special release from Brasserie de Silly, a one-time offering of the brewery’s famous Scotch Silly ale, aged in a particular type of barrel, the variety of which varies each year. In previous years they released Bourbon-, Bordeaux-, and Cognac-barrel-aged versions, but the 2016 version is aged in Burgundy barrels. It combines the rich, caramelly impact of its Scotch Silly base with fruity, vinous counterpoints from that residual barrel character.
Each year Brasserie de Silly takes their famous Scotch Silly brand and ages it in a different style barrel. 2016 features Scotch Silly aged in Burgundy Barrels from the Nuits-Saint-George region of France . This deep dark colored scotch ale is a perfect blend of caramelized malt and candied sugar from the mother beer with the flavor coming from the Burgundy barrel to produce a brew that explodes with flavor.
