Introduced in 1933 under the name of “Bush Beer”, this is one of the oldest specialty beers in Belgium and the flagship brand of the Dubuisson Brasserie.

The Bush Caractère is a filtered, top-fermented beer made from malt, hops, natural sugars, water from the brewery’s own underground source and an exclusive house yeast that has been cultivated for 80 years.

The pronounced bitter-sweet taste of this beer, its gentle taste structure and characteristic amber colour are all due to the caramel malts used and the expertise and patience of the master brewer (the beer rests for four to six weeks). The high density – the proportion of malt – and the active house yeast make for one of the strongest Belgian beers, with an alcohol volume of 12%. Read Less

The Surfine is a golden blonde beer with 6.5% alcohol by volume. This refreshing beer has a surprisingly balanced, slightly bitter taste. The aromas are strikingly complex and fruity aromas; citrus is the predominant note but there are flowery touches, reinforced by impressions of herbs and pepper. At the first tasting, a drily bitter character comes to the fore, but it’s never overwhelming. Hugues Dubuisson is always on the lookout for extraordinary products. It was in this spirit that he came up with the idea of maturing Bush Blonde in oak barrels, which had previously been used to store white Burgundy wine, more specifically the famous Charmes Meursault.

So the brewery bought 13 of these 228 litre barrels in which to produce its Bush de Charmes.

Thanks to this exceptional procedure, Bush de Charmes offers an extraordinarily rich taste on the palette. Read Less

Part of a collaboration gift box between Flemish Brewery De Brabandere and Walloon Brewery Dubuisson to celebrate 375 years of mutual brewing history, this Belgian Strong Golden Age brewed at Dubuisson was foeder aged by De Brabandere. This means that a 2 year old sour beer was added to enhance the complexity of this beer. This gives the beer a pleasant yellow fruit aroma, with a slight caramel taste and a wonderful light sour taste.
