Not being a fan of the Berliner Weisse style, and not being a sour beer fanboy in general, I, quite expectedly did not like this beer. That said, of the sour beers I’ve had, I appreciated that this one had somethings going for it other than stark, dry.

Gibb’s take on the Belgian Tripel style combines the classic yeasty candi sugar profile you’d expect with an amped-up addition of spicy hops. Has a nice soft pillowy mouthfeel and lightly sweet malty finish, with the hop spice lingering

Shearing the Wolf is a classic American West Coast IPA, bringing a noseful of pineapple and resin, and featuring a long heavily bitter fade. Has enough malt backbone to support the ample hop additions, but make no mistake; this is a hop fanboy beer.

An excellently crafted American wheat ale that actually showcases the wheat, and not an additive. Wheat cracker aroma and flavor with some mild fruitiness. Lightly sweet and lightly tart in equal measure. Some spice but I can’t place which one

Very interesting hop bill in this one. Strong aroma hops that channel mangos and bong water sitting in a pine forest. Tropical and earthy in equal measure. A solid mild caramel base really keeps things in balance. Lightly tangy very fruity finish.

Gibb's Clarion Call pours light golden with a super frothy sticky white head. High carbonation. Grainy nose with honey and florals. Overly thin bodied. Missing malt character.

The base beer is pretty well covered over by the dark and sour cherry addition here. A bit medicinal. The Belgian yeast still makes a showing. And the alcohol is a bit hot, making me think of cough syrup. Try their plain Tripel instead. Pours sticky

A rich bready English styled strong Ale with vanilla, molasses, caramel, and praline notes all in attendance. Medium bodied with very soft carbonation. Very nice.

One of the better Greensboro area saisons, this one is well in balance with equal parts spicy yeast, grassy garden herbal hops and a light malt backing. Nothing sharp or out of place. Pours nearly clear golden with a ton of lace. Long mildly herbal fade.

A fruity Tripel with honey, white pepper, pear and some citrus coming through in the aroma. On the sweeter side with the honey really coming through in the tail. A bit of alcohol hotness starts to take over in the finish. A nice mild wash of carbonation

Light golden pour with a solid one finger small bubbled head. Nice mildly sweet malt with a hint of toffee. Floral hop bill with some spiciness. Decent, but lacking distinctive English malt notes. Hoppy, and closer to an English IPA

An interesting take on a golden that keeps the traditional grainy light malt and floral notes and marries it with a French yeast strain that provides additional fruity notes. Light banana and peach esters provide a bright uplifting character.

Gibb's delivers an excellent spicy hopped rendition of an Impy. Black pour with a small beige head. Mild chocolate, pine, and woody aroma. Very little heart despite the 9.5% abv. Excellent.

A chewy black monster of a beer, Gibb's Baltic Porter is earthy and lightly sweet with smoky tobacco and blackstrap molasses notes. Full bodied and smooth, this high ABV beer never gets too hot. The beer evokes images of fireside comfort in a tavern

A fine English-styled ale that is light and refreshing but packs a big floral hop nose and spicy hop fade. Medium bodied with a spritzy carbonation wash at the end of the swallow. Plenty of toffee backbone. Nose has a bit of vegetal character.

A nice spicy IPA. Pours cloudy light amber with a small off-white head. Decent lacing. Nose of pine, graham crackers and grapefruit. The beginning is more spicy and less rindy. Well blended. Pleasant finish with a rise of citrus rind.

Pours murky brown. Frothy white head. Mild banana notes. A bit of tart citrus at the end. Some muted caramelly malts.
