We worked long and hard to get the malt base right for this beer and the end result is one of which we are very proud. Moreish and easy drinking while also being a beer to take your time over and savour. We use a very simple malt base for this beer to showcase the characteristics of the single variety of hop. Columbus is one of the classic high alpha dual purpose hops from the USA and it’s flavour profile is unmistakably American – resinous, herbal and earthy with gentle citrus notes and a clean, long lasting bitterness with a delicious aroma. We add Columbus to the copper at the start of the boil then again right at the end, three times during the run-off and then more to dry-hop during conditioning, each addition bringing a different quality of the hops to the glass. This year we have revisited Peak Bagger IPA for our autumn special. Brewed from Maris Otter Pale malt and lots of Oats to produce a very easy drinking but full-bodied beer. Hopped and dry hopped with ever popular Citra and Mosaic to bring an unmistakably modern hop flavour, the bitterness has been dialed right back with the majority of the hop additions very late in the boil. Finished with a dose of dry hops in the fermenter to give aroma and flavor. At 4.7% ABV this is a beer that will warm the cockles as the nights draw in. Read Less

When the need to sink a cold lager arises - nothing else will do. To quench that after-work, summer barbeque or fell-walk thirst we have brewed a light, lower strength pilsner. We chose the best lager malts and yeast we could find and used all German hops to bring that clean, noble character to the beer.
Dry hopped with Huell Melon hops giving a light, botanical, honeydew flavour.
