What does it even mean?

Nils (our founder) listened to Elvis’ Amazing Grace and it was something religious,
visceral, wonderful and with the sun shining down and the beautiful landscape around him
(almost certainly Gothenburg), he felt this was in line with what we wanted to achieve at
Stigbergets. It should be something fantastic and barely tangible, something that just goes
straight into the soul and fills you with sweetness…

What you need to know though.

New England style. Golden promise, premium English caramalt, oats, wheat, dry hopped
with Citra, Mosaic and Ekuanot. It’s a darker, sweeter iteration with aromas of citrus,
tropical fruit, pine resin and and a subtle hint of eucalyptus from the Ekuanot. Read Less

What does it even mean?

It’s not what you think. Well maybe I don’t know what you think. But if you have an opinion on what a West Coast should be, throw that away just for now. This is a Scandinavian West Coast. Which we can assure you is very different from the Scandinavian East Coast. More rocks, people are friendlier, but let’s not get bogged down in that.

What you need to know though.

It’s our flagship NEIPA. Extra pale base, oats, wheat, generous dry hop of Citra, Mosaic and a charming local seagull on the can. Affectionately known as måse (seagull) in Gothenburg, West Coast is light in colour, full bodied, low bitterness and brimming with tropical fruit flavours. Read Less

What does it even mean?

In 2016 we made the GBG Beer Week beer. According to those that were there, we did
quite a good job at this. We took that recipe, we made some tweaks and now we sell it as
something fixed yet eternally new and eternally improved.

What you need to know though.

We combine two New World hop powerhouses to make this US/NZ NEIPA. Extra pale
base, oats, wheat and a very generous dry hop of nelson sauvin, citra and mosaic.
Creamy, pillowy body, big stone and tropical fruit aromas with hints of grape and
gooseberry from the Nelson Sauvin. Read Less

Existence, essence, transcendence. What about French you say?
Existence, essence, transcendance. And German? Existenz, Essenz, Transzendenz.
Wow, what about Italian? Esistenza, essenza, trascendenza. Spanish? Existencia,
esencia, trascendencia.

There’s a not so thinly veiled message in all of that.

What you need to know though.

US/NZ/Aussie NEIPA style 5.9% with a seriously vibey cat on the label. A showcase of the
three great New World hop producers all in one can. Extra pale base, oats, oats and more
oats, dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Galaxy and Mosaic. With all those hops, it’s got a lot
going on. Light straw, creamy, full bodied, overripe citrus, stone and tropical fruit on the

The world’s favourite beer it would seem. The pilsner style, that is. Although we’re
eternally grateful to the Czechs for getting the ball rolling (we’ll assume most people don’t
know who Josef Groll is at this point) our pilsner is brewed in more of the german tradition.

What you need to know though.

German pilsner style. Pilsner malt, Hallertauer Mittlefruh and Mandarina Bavaria. A dark
straw, fruitier (thanks to the Mandarina) iteration of a classic pilsner style with a subtle, yet

What does it even mean ?

Looks like we’re on for a summer of whacky weather. And what have we done to deserve it? Well, probably quite a lot. Maybe we shouldn’t have shot that metaphorical Albatross. Maybe we shouldn’t have shot a thousand metaphorical albatrosses, in fact. But hej ho, here we are, and what can we do about it? We can brew. And we certainly have, brewed a little relief, for those unslack’d throats and bak’d black lips. A small relief for the Spring drought and July’s autumn storms and who knows what next?


What you need to know though

US style NEIPA 7%. Golden Promise base with oats. Dry hopped with Citra, Mosaic, Ekuanot and YCH 301 Cryo Mosaic. Straw coloured, unfiltered, creamy body with a low bitterness. And naturally, when it comes to our somewhat arbitrary bird logic, the bigger the bird, the bigger the dry-hop, and at 20 grams a litre the tropical fruit aroma is truly pungent. Read Less
