Again. A big strong bitterness hits straight off. Then there's some coffee hints and liquorice notes. It's rich and roasty as per usual. Gives way to the hard unripe green plum flavours and apricots, similarly picked too early. Not quite as good as usual

S'ok actually. Light but quite flavourful. Citrusy, fruity, lemon in particular. Quite a zesty bitterness. A surprisingly dry finish that satisfies without making you want more of the same. Maybe it's a bit too zesty/bitter. Enjoyable though.

Nothing amazing or outstanding in any way but it is very tasty. 4 for the price of 3 at Asda so I got 4 x 440ml cans for £9.25. Very reasonable! Soft, citrusy, tropical, fruity. A little bitter, hoppy. Didn't notice a dry finish but it did leave a dryness

Rather amazed by this! Takes me back to the brown ales of my long lost youth! Back when I was 14 or 15 I used to rather like a brown ale! This is decently full of roasted malts. Quite resoundingly bitter with nutty notes too. Light. At just 3.4% abv 🤷

James Thompson: I read that this is brewed by Love Lane brewery Andy T. and that the owner of Home Bargains bought them out of administration earlier this year. I picked up a few LL cans for a quid each in there last week 🍻
Andy Turpin: James T. 👍😊 I thought about looking into the brewer but hadn't got around to it. I tried a couple of Love Lane things and wasn't impressed but this was great!
Andy Turpin: 4.4 then. Tomorrow's dinner in the crockpot already. I'll do some mac'n'cheese to go with it before I go out for the day tomorrow. Gonna visit Chartwell, the long-time home of Sir Winston Churchill. Should be fascinating.
