Peter McDonald is drinking a Bambergator by Privatbrauerei Fässla Bamberg at Untappd at Home
An unusual doppelbock as it’s quite light in colour and therefore quite a different taste to the normal dark beers.also unusual as there’s an underlying hoppiness / bitterness. Sadly, no accompanying cat picture to go with it

Very smooth drinking; perhaps doesn’t have the powerful roasted malt flavour of other bocks but very pleasant

First reaction is that the beer is very dark in colour, much more than my previous Ayinger dunkel. It has more of a edge and carbonation than the Ayinger beer, as well as the roasted malt and burnt toast flavours that provide that black colour

Peter McDonald is drinking an Ayinger Altbairisch Dunkel by Ayinger Privatbrauerei at Taphouse
Lovely malty dark beer with very low carbonation and virtually no bitterness

Didn’t think the beer was that great. Very much a traditional IPA and had the requisite hoppiness but lacking in body and length
