Slide Release is drinking a Stone 27th Anniversary Lemon Shark Double IPA by Stone Brewing at Black Door
Ok this is weird. Nosing this, I get the promised lemon in the form of lemon peel fragrance. However, the taste veers off to an unexpected belge direction, along with cotton candy sweetness and maltiness. Lemon is only present as rind bitterness. Odd.

Nose gives medium-sweet maltiness and occasional metallic notes. Taste is a very mild and easy malty base that does not carry the taste for long. Easy-going and unremarkable.

Quite a nice bitter, remains easy to drink and has the required caramelly maltiness. Add to that some herbal notes and you have some extra tastiness.

Slide Release is drinking an ESB by Ridgeway Brewing at Barley & Bait
Proper. Clear brew, nose gives the required caramel malty and fruity whiffs, which are present also in taste. So few of these properly made ESBs around nowadays. Love it!

Old skool done well. Nose gives the hoppy/piney notes I would expect, tho in a very light way. Taste does fulfill the expectations, dry, hoppy and piney as it should. Well done indeed.
