Fln. Great base stout held up very well for its age. Wine barrel character is mostly faded, but the rich licorice-molasses (though not too sweet) like base stout character is alive and well. Less oxidation character to it than expected, given its age.

Sat on this for about 6 years and it's held up well. This was "thuck" but boozy, sweet and ever so slightly bitter

Forgotten in the cellar...a pity this time. Work with the barrel is very good, with tannins and a vinous vibe. The beer is still strong with a smooth medium body or a bit more,but unfortunately oxidation and umami are too strong,not great with that barrel

Still very potent and in top shape after 10 years. Raisins, molasses and some umami. Lots of roastyness and good amount of bitterness for balance. Lovely pinot noir BA adding complexity, tannins and oak. Warming finish. 4.5

Old, but still very good. The wine barrel is strong on the nose. The taste adds a strong roastiness with a dry woody noire. Way more drinkable than the 16% that it is. Bottle share.

Vegan. Full stout with licorice, cacao, some tabaco and a bit roasty. The pinot noir is immediately noticed. Dark red fruits, some tanines and a slight tartness. Finishes with 'engelse drop'. Unlike other wine BA stouts it's remarkably full and round.
