Island Gigantism

The phenomenon of Island Gigantism is one of exceptionalism; that animals, left on an island with no or few natural predators, would grow to such massive size as to be thought of as giants. We apply that maxim to the hops used in this double IPA, but with a focus on their organoleptic qualities. Specifically, a preponderance of New Zealand-grown hops, showing huge white wine, lime zest, tropical fruit aromatics. These isolated hop varieties grown on coveted soil, free of pests and intense crop management practices, truly explode in the glass with their aromatic intensity. Laid across a clean, slightly warming malt body, with a reliable bitterness, we see the apotheosis of our field of study in hop aromatics, truly a golden sight to have and to hold. Show Less
