2021 CBC ALES for ALS brew – KELLY’S I.P.A. - is a session I.P.A. brewed with a unique blend of experimental hop varieties.

ALES for ALS is cosponsored by ALS TDI, Yakima Chief Hops, and BT Loftus Ranches, and since its inception in 2013 CBC has participated and donated over $17,500 directly to ALS TDI. From 33 participating brewers and proceeds totaling $130,000 in 2013, to over 200 participating brewers in 2020, and over $3,500,000 raised to date, the program has grown each year.

WHY does CBC participate in ALES for ALS each year? Our first Head Brewer, Darryl Goss, worked with Phil and later on with Will from 1990 through 1998. Darryl was diagnosed with ALS in 2006 and died after six years of battling the disease.

It’s considered a “rare disease” with fewer than 20,000 diagnosed cases per year. So we were stunned and heartbroken when the CBC family was again touched by ALS - Chef Dave’s sister Kelly was diagnosed a few years ago and passed away just this year.

This year we are naming our ALES for ALS beer, KELLY’s I.P.A. in honor of Dave’s sister. Show Less
