Monon Wheat

Years ago whistles pierced the air and the ground literally shook from the power steam. The Monon Railroad helped propel Indiana’s economy from 1897–1956 and earned its name from the convergence of its four main routes in Monon, Indiana. From Monon, the mainlines reached Chicago, Louisville, Indianapolis, Michigan City, and most towns in between.
