That's quite nice. Rich, funky, some acetic character. Smooth, dry, a bit fruity.

I really don’t know what to make of this - totally not what I was expecting, especially compared to other Scotch Ales I have tried. Very sour with a lingering ‘tarty’ aftertaste. One to try, but not one I would personally buy again.

Looking for a sweet and warming scotch ale? This ain’t it! ⚠️ Instead we have a super well balanced ale; complex, tart and vinegary with just a hint of sweetness. Worth a try.

Complex, rich, tart. From balsamic green apples to sweetish malty bread crust to aromatic oak. All in good proportions to each other. 41/50.

Smooth mouthfeel, loads of sweet fresh green apples and a generous amount of balsamic. The finish is tart, dry oak flavors. Thanks Vesa

9% ABV Old Scotch/Wee Heavy Ale. Inspired by historical descriptions of the 'balsamic' quality of good Scotch Ale as well as good things like Prize Old Ale to give a rich, dark, funky, tart Scotch ale.
