All of the beers at E12 are important for one reason or another, some more than others. Brewer. is a beer that's amongst the pantheon of the most cherished. Adopting a 13-week old puppy certainly wasn't in the family plans, but the minute we laid our eyes on Brewer, [fka Ashton] it was truly love at first sight. Soon after we started the fostering process, we found out Brewer had a debilitating and uncurable heart murmur. What was supposed to be our long term future turned into just weeks, as our small family said goodbye to him on Thanksgiving Night. Dedicated to Brewer, this Belgian Dark Strong is a beer reimagined from a previous recipe using learnings from years of brewing experience and a novel, updated fermentation profile. Brewer., like his namesake beer, has quite the bite but the longer you stay with it & let the glass breathe, it mellows and creates a deep body warmth, just like he did.
