I always enjoy the challenge of soloing a large-format ass-kicking beer and still presenting as physically and cognitively capable. However, while this DBA 25.4-fl oz beer clocks in at 15%, it was little better than pretty good. Def a bit disappointing.

Dan "The Dan" Nowlan: I can't quite put my finger on where this falls short. It's just...it's not complex. It doesn't evolve. It's a little malty-sweet, a little roasty, and a has a little barrel. But for a beer that rested THIRTY-SIX MONTHS in whiskey barrels, it's just good.
