As Oktoberfest season approaches, it is time to crack out the MassKrug. This years Festbier is a return to the style of golden lager that is served at the annual festival since the early 1990's. An attractive, clear golden lager that is topped with a creamy dense head of foam. Despite it's abv, the goal of this beer is balancing rich malt flavour and light noble hop character with extreme drinkability. Quality German Pilsner malt with a touch of bready Munich malt are the star players here providing notes of hay, bready and slight honey. Hopped exclusively with Hallertau Mittelfruh throughout the boil to provide a refreshing but moderate level of bitterness and light herbal and citrus zest aromas. Show Less
