Malzlikor

Malzlikor is a wet hop inspired Hell Bock using Weyermann Pilsner and Vienna malts. The hopping profile is German Perle, Mittlefruh and whole cone Mittlefruh. A very generous 90 lbs of locally grown whole cone Mittlefruh was picked the morning of the brew day. This Hell Bock weighed in at a hefty 21.4 Plato OG (1.089 SG) and was fermented with our house lager yeast and the full 90 lbs of wet hop. The 3 week fermentation on the wet hop allowed this bock to develop a full hop flavor profile that is quite well integrated. A relatively short 5 weeks of lagering was all that was needed.
