Italian Pilsner

This beer was inspired by our trips around international beer events. This beer style was born and refined in Italy. Despite that, it became a genre on it's own and nowadays you can see it being brewed all over the globe. What is an Italian Pilsner?
The most important word for this beer is balance. Balance between the malty and the hoppy side of it is crucial. At the same time, the maltiness is not overly sweet and the hoppiness does not go into IPL category.
We wanted even more Italy, that's why we sourced and used Italian and Italy grown Aemilia and Modna hop varieties. Lager yeast, that typically ferments at around 11 C was given warmer conditions. That's how we created a lot of esters from the fermentation. These fruity esters go well with the dry hopping technique that was also a part of the process.
What you get in a glass is light, clear, dry beer with a nice white foam. On the nose there's a subtle aroma of pear. In the taste you can feel a balance between malt and hops. The aftertaste is where some more fruits come into the play. Show Less
