Data Set #5

The Data Set series is our endeavor to explore a broad spectrum of yeast and how they affect the flavor outcome of our style of beer.

For this iteration, we used another British yeast variety from across the pond. It’s easy to overlook how various European brewing cultures helped pave the way and acclimate our palates to hoppy beer. Hop connoisseurs have certainly encountered this British powerhouse that has quietly been the backbone of numerous hop forward brews.

The hallmarks of this yeast are its appealing haze, fruity esters and a sweet finish that helps to balance copious dry hopping. Pithy grapefruit flits between eye-opening pine resin before fading into pleasant notes of marmalade. Show Less
