Threads - Coconut

A modern-day interpretation on a nearly extinct, yet incredibly complex traditional British Strong Ale closely related to Barleywine and Old Ale and inspired by the rich history of English Brewing.

Brewed March 2017, Threads was aged for 30 months in a variety of barrels including Bourbon, Apple Brandy, Rye, and Maple Bourbon.

Toasted coconut pairs remarkably well with the rich oakiness inherent in Threads, providing an implicit airy quality that lifts rich dark fruit notes ranging from fig to raisin and tart cherry. Sourcing liquid from a wide variety of barrels contributes a layered spirituous aspect that is built for slow sipping throughout a chilly winter evening. Show Less
