Chris Thomas is drinking a Five Card Draw by Brass Castle Brewery at Two & Six Micropub
Even through thick head strong perfume like aroma. Full of lemon, grapefruit and flowers. Quite light in mouth then hop have fun. Not as bitter as expected or as grassy. They are there but muted more constant fight between aroma style hops. 2 cooks etc

Chris Thomas is drinking a Selby Stout by Jolly Sailor Brewery at Two & Six Micropub
Looks the part and the head creamy on the lips. Balance of chocolate coffee and roasted malt. Think really high end coffee liqueur dark chocolate. Quite thick mouthfeel but the CO2 1 helps lift any heaviness and 2 enhances the roasted character. Relaxing

Chris Thomas is drinking a Green Shadows by Pentrich Brewing Co. at The Crow Inn
Very grassy nose for a beer let along stout. That cut grass hops is full on in the taste as well. Aided and abetted by dark roast malt. Hidden beneath hops a smooth rich stout . I like this but it's a surprise to have the hops this strong.

Traditional style best bitter. Slight nettle crackle in head but otherwise quite toffee beer. It's not overly sweet as rich nutty malts keep it grounded. That's it though it's definitely malt not hop character that dominates. I like it and could have few.

Fresh but worryingly unfermented nose. Slight unfermented taste but counteracted by lemon and very fine CO2. It's ok as a beer but chouffe can do better. Even in styles I dislike they do better. However this is drinkable. Pref erd or nany or PAF bt + most
