Never tried Tonka beans before, which are in the ingredients. Got liquorice up front in a sweet offering, but not overly so. A darker head than normal for a stout. A super dark beer, no lightness here. It's different but good. My 1st from this brewery.

Tenby Brewing are hit-and-miss miss in what they do. Goes down like a good honest stout. Well worth another try.

Disappointing. Little of anything really, except the flavour of a hoppyness of a pale mixed with a porter. Not for me. Never had a stout like it, whether it be full on or a light offering. This is neither, just a bit weird. Only just about drinkable.

A 5.2% offering rather than the original 5.7. A very dark beer, not translucent like many so-called porters. Immediate roasted malts on the nose, not so many on the first sip. Slight vanilla notes appear then. More traditional than modern. Excellent.

Coconut indeed, on the nose and drinking. Sweet as expected and a nice alcohol warmth. Extra dark and rich. I'd prefer a more roasted flavour to temper the sweetness though. Nice all the same, just needs that traditional roasted tweak to make excellent.
