THIS. This is what I want out of a Barleywine. I'm getting primarily dark fruit notes and a taste similar to red licorice. Absolutely delicious.

This is very nice. Banana is prominent up front. I can barely make out any rye character. Clove quickly follows and lingers. Wish it was maltier, but this is perfect for a beautiful summer day.

This one is fucking weird. The maltiness up front was initially off putting, but then it'd subside... then come back... and on and on. I kinda like it... but then I don't and back and forth. And there's some odd spice note I'm getting? Idfk I give up.

More bitter and not as juicy as I had expected it to be, but that's a good thing. Quite unique and worthy of staying in my regular lineup.

I'm very annoyed that I've slept on this one. Very nice piney bitterness that reminds me of old Stone IPAs, except that the malt backbone on this is noticeable and leaves a kind of rich warmth on the palate. This will be a staple in my fridge from now on.
