Bob Jarvis is drinking a Ryuhyou Draft (流氷ドラフト) by Abashiri Beer at Untappd at Home
Described as a ‘drifting ice draft’ beer (Joe W. Do you know of this style)? Hard to believe it’s 5% abv, even harder to describe the taste, different, certainly.
Purchased at Japan Centre
Joe Whittle: No, not heard of or had that style… Looks very intriguing…! 🤔
Bob Jarvis: Joe W. Check it out next time you’re in The Land of the Rising Sun. I’ve never tasted anything quite like it.
Bob Jarvis is drinking a Pleroma Dragon Fruit Crème Brûlée Sour by Omnipollo at Untappd at Home
To chase down an imp stout, a dragon fruit sour certainly does the job, creamy, sour and tart. Heavy tropical notes.
Purchased at Beer Merchants Tap
Bob Jarvis is drinking a Dog L by BrewDog at Untappd at Home
The sweetness from the ageing comes through immediately, then a hit of bitterness and coconut notes with a hint of vanilla at the end. I like it when Brewdog stick to what they’re good at. PS it was Venison & Red Wine pie (and beans).
Purchased at BrewDog Brewery
Goes well with the pork, a nice cloudy cider, not too chilled.
