Locken’s Tropical Pineapple by Rock Wall Brewing (Genesee)

Pineapple coming through the most up front. The more delicate kölsch fruitiness sneaks in near the end along with the juicy acidity. Surprisingly refreshing and summery.

Jack Brown Ale by Deep Sea Brewing

Benjamin Gaddis is drinking a Jack Brown Ale by Deep Sea Brewing at Smitty’s Taphouse & Grill

Excellent English brown. Served cask-style. Lovely, caramelly, whole-grain-toasty brown malt underneath the fresh timber hops. Medium bodied, easy finish.

Spring Street Saison by Avondale Brewing Co.

Benjamin Gaddis is drinking a Spring Street Saison by Avondale Brewing Co.

It's okay. A little too sweet, and without a lot of classic saison flavors. Some citrousy orange and some light floral notes. Good for a couple on a rainy night, but lacking.

Destress Express by Georgia Beer Co.

Benjamin Gaddis is drinking a Destress Express by Georgia Beer Co. at The Hub At Feather Oaks

Good, solid coffee stout. Big body, hearty umami coffee, and a dark bitterness on top that binds it all together. Lingering, roasty finish.

Hibiscus Lavender by Ginger's Revenge

Benjamin Gaddis is drinking a Hibiscus Lavender by Ginger's Revenge at Foggy Mountain Brew Pub

Beautiful, elegant, ginger beer. Lavender is expertly balanced with the hibiscus and ginger. Sweet, and a little heat from the ginger. Floral, herbal, hints of jasmine, with vegetal undertones. This is ginger beer at it's finest.
