I was hyped when I discovered that there was a brewery from the Cape which does BA sour beers using spontaneous fermentation. The nose is a mix of honey and yeast; the sensation on the palate full of Chardonnay grape and yeast rounded off by earthy notes.

Nose is full of Grapefruit, zest and hints of tropical fruit. This is coupled with a taste in the mouth resembling resin, wood and zesty notes.

Great surprise served by Birdy B. Nicely balanced hoppy taste including floral and fruity/citrusy notes. Good feel in the mouth and easily drinkable.

Rather thin and light, yet refreshing. The sweet taste of corn and malt almost resembled the taste of honey.

Chris Sexton: Will definitely visit their brewery next time I am round in Cape Town🇿🇦 I would say they are coming close to their European counterparts in terms of taste!
