Had this the first time just about 6 years ago in Kuala Lumpur, of all places. It’s still as special as I remember it. Heavy, moody, decadent stout, with that chilli just present enough to keep you keen.

Not terrible, but a bit hollow. Starts like Castle Free, nice on the nose. But thins out on the tongue in a fizz of bubbles and finishes much like soda water.

Like Rum & Coke, but coke in a glass only rinsed with with a dribble of rum. Overly sweet, thin body, not even a wisp of oak chips, fizzy, cloying. Just the one for me, thanks.

A whiff of peach on the nose, little more than a hint of bubbles on the tongue. Couldn’t detect any hops, certainly nothing malty. Not sure what’s IPA about it. Successful as flavoured sparkling water though.
