Dave Sawyer is drinking a Cold Hearted IPA by Bell's Brewery at Untappd at Home
Like an “ice” version of an IPA. Texture is lighter and more crisp than a typical IPA — especially for a brew this strong (7% ABV).

I’ve been exploring the wide range of Chicago beers. Burnt City is a stop on that journey. But the Raptor Snacks IPA isn’t the brew that will win my favor. No regrets but no recommendations either. Somewhat watery and lacking in character. 7% ABV.

Looks like a typical lager beer but the taste is far from typical. Sweet finish and interesting character overall. A pleasant surprise.

My journey into hoppy beers and IPAs started with Sierra Nevada as a gateway and later, a reliable standby. This was my first taste of their Dankful IPA — a strengthy brew at 7.4% ABV. Not a home run, but a solid, tasty can in the category of strong IPAs.

Clean, crisp, and citrusy at first sip with a bitter hoppy, IPA finish. So nice, you might almost forget its strength at 7.5% ABV.
