Really smooth and tasty barleywine in which no one flavor dominates, but the sum of the parts is excellent. Not much more to say other than I could drink a lot of this beer. If I was patient and let it warm up, I'm sure it'd be even better.

Once I get over my anger at Anchorage's price points (74 bucks for a 16oz can) , I can't deny that the beer is great. No way you'd know it's 18%. Smooth, bourbon and chocolate-ish.

Velvet Fog by Fort George Brewery

Joe Toth is drinking a Velvet Fog by Fort George Brewery

This version is with the Earl Grey tea, which I taste faintly. Some vanilla and chocolate in a solid stout that is not barrel-aged, a welcomed change. They say there's lavender in it. I only wish I knew how that tasted. Nice but not compelling.
