Dark Mild - Restoration Series by Abbeydale Brewery

Richard Weir is drinking a Dark Mild - Restoration Series by Abbeydale Brewery at Botcherby

Always good to see a mild available and from a very good brewery. This could be a lot darker, it's brown-ruby in colour, but tastes like a good mild should - light, sweetish and easy drinking

Some mosaic beers have been getting a bit of an onion flavour, thankfully not here. Bitter and lightly zesty.

Another big-hitting US DIPA. Loads of tropical fruit, big hop aroma upfront, mango finish. Excellent.

I think I've had this pre-untappd but a treat to have it again. Very typical US caramalt aroma, rich and sweet, pale golden colour, long bittersweet finish, almost medicinal.

4% bottled version. Proper dark mold, with a ruby tinge Roast malt, a little coffee, light smoky finish. Wish more brewers would do a dark mild like this.

Another hugely foamy American beer. Deep purple, heavy on the berries, thick, fizzy, very tasty!

Blimey! Can said 'pour hard' - it foamed madly even though I didn't! Hugely thick, decadent vanilla cookie stout - I've opened it way too early in the evening 😆
