Just 'N Cell 'R

Pours and tastes a little bit thin although smooth. But with barleywine, porter, Quad, brown ale influence it makes sense. Like that the barrel is forward, not usually the case for them. Sweeter and not as complex though overall than I would like.

Earlier this week

Pours like motor oil. Smooth as silk. Slight sweetness but way less than I thought there would be. The barrels shine and that always makes me happy. So glad I got to try it!

Nice barrel. Want a little more complexity and thicker base but other than that solid.

Luckily the coffee has died down a little over the year and has made it more enjoyable. Unfortunately the barrel has also died down over the year as well.

4.7 Good heat with a nice sweet barleywine base. Probably still like recent roaming elephants more but this is damn good. Barrel forward i always appreciate. Thank u Matthew G. For the hookup.

Couple nights ago. So glad I traded for a couple more cans. So worth it!

More pastry than most of their beers. Is it less pastry than 90% of chicago "BA" beers? yes because I still taste barrel. Do I prefer their barrel forward beers, yes. But this isn't bad. 4.4

Liked this more on tap. Maybe colder helps. Got sweet base first with some barrel. Not in ur face barrel that I noticed on draft. More balanced. Still a 4.7 but on draft was a 5

Best kentuckley variant. Drank over many hours though...damn that's a high %!

Last night

Last night. A little more muted than fresh but such great barrel.

Great series and this is by far my fav and my fav half acre beer. Catch hell is cinnamon forward. Double is balanced. Triple is barrel forward. Which for my tastes wins it. Thick smooth coating mouthfeel with barrel and then adjuncts. Perfect.
