A new brew concocted by Jean Van Roy to celebrate the 2003-2004 Division III title for the local Union St. Gilles football team and its upgrade to Division II.

Cuvee des Champions is not a traditional ’gueuze,’ in that it is made from only two year-old 2001 lambic, not from a blend of older and younger lambics. It is also dry-hopped in the cask for three weeks with fresh Styrian Goldings hops. Re-fermentation in the bottle is achieved with the addition of a small amount of candi sugar. Read Less

Then for 2 years, our lambic has extracted all the flavors and aromas to make a unique gueuze. The name comes from the geographic location of the brewery. Read Less

The result is surprising. The beer is amber, without carbonation, and comes in at 9.1% ABV and 8° Plato residual sugar.

It's close to a Barley Wine or an oxidized wine like Madeira, Sherry or Vin Jaune. Even more surprising is that when we forgot a half-empty bottle, th beer was still good when we tasted it....after 8 days.

This beer will be poured for the first time next weekend in Portland (Maine) for The Festival organised by Shelton Brothers and 12% imports. Read Less

Lambic blend with blue honeysuckle, or haskap, berries.  For the past two years, we’ve been making a fruited blend with Camerise berries in small quantities. These berries are slightly sweet with a beautiful acidity.  We didn’t have to look very far for a its new name... a blue fruit that makes a blood-red beer: Sang Bleu. Our friend Ammo has outdone himself once again, creating a superb new label to go with its new name. A word from the brewer: Sang Bleu is powerful and very fruit-forward, but still maintains a nice, mellow balance between acidity and astringency. Read Less

This Iris Grand Cru was made in the same philosophy as Lambic Grand Cru Bruocsella. We kept the beer for 3 years in barrels & did not dry hop or champagnization. Iris Grand Cru is less bitter & more dry then Iris. The beer is still, very fine, with malted notes & a nice lingering finish. Iris Grand Cru will be served in some Zwanze Day locations. Read Less
