The use of ‘Thirst’ for our beer range came from our first beer. Thirst Run was originally called ‘First Run’, but due to a misunderstanding on the phone the graphic designer came up with ‘Thirst Run’ . The use of ‘Thirst’ has now formed the basis of our range.

Thirst Run has always been a very popular beer and at its first beer festival was voted “Best Beer” at the Keswick Beer Festival 2006.

In bottle Thirst Run was chosen for "The 50 Best beers" The Independent August 2012. Read Less

This Ale is the perfect accompliment for fruit cake, puddings and especially good at Christmas time with Christmas cake, Christmas pudding and mince pies.

Our rich dark ale Thirst Noel has become more and more popular over the years. We have always bottled enough to last until October when we make our new batch for the coming Christmas. This year we ran out in July! We decided that if we are going to have this beer all year round then a new name would be sensible. So Dark Horse was born. We will still brew Thirst Noel as a cask beer at Christmas and we will still have Thirst Noel bottles available for those beers for Christmas time. Read Less

This refreshing 3.6% golden beer has been brewed especially for the Walking With The Wounded charity to help raise money. The beer will be showcased at the Cumbrian Challenge and the Dog and Gun in Keswick.

Bottles of the Cumbrian Challenge beer are available from the brewery shop and on-line shop. The bottles will also be available to buy and take home from the Cumbrian Challenge event. Each bottle of Cumbrian Challenge sold raises 10p for this great charity.

Keswick Brewing Company first met the Walking With The Wounded team when the Walk of Britain team came through Keswick and Keswick Brewery were asked to provide a beer at the finishing line. Keswick Brewery has raised money for many charities during their ten years and this inspired the idea to brew a beer for the WWTW. Keswick Brewery are proud to support the fantastic work which Walking With The Wounded does and hope this beer will help raise a lot of money for the charity. Read Less

We first brewed our golden 3.6% ale in 2011 for the Dog and Gun in Keswick. The recipe was created for them and chosen by them. We sell this beer as Thirst Gold around the country and this has now become our most popular beer.

The beer was first named Dog and Gun's Landlord's Choice.

Following the pubs recent logo change the beer has now been renamed Woof & Bang. It is still the same favourite beer - just a new name. Read Less

The photo on the pump clip is one from Catbells looking towards Keswick and Skiddaw. Catbells was the first hill Sue climbed when she was little and still remains a favourite.

This is one of our early beers and it is still popular.
