Our second generation of Kölsch, uses the lightest German Köln and Heidelberg malts available. Just enough hops for balance and brew water adjusted to match Köln resulting in a very light crisp beer. Critique from some of our friends/neighbors from Köln said that the Kolquittsch Kölsch tasted too much like a Pilsner. So, we have replaced the Pilsner with Heidelberg malt and have made the beer lighter in body and ABV. Heidelberg made us think Heisenberg, who kind of looks like owner/brewmaster Bob Sandage. So, it is now the Breaking Bob Kölsch. Read Less

This year’s version of Juice Bar, we set out to make the most sessionable, balanced and crushable hop forward beer we could. A smooth malt profile of Pilsner and Wheat malts, as well as flaked oats provide the backdrop for a unique hop combination: Denali and Falconer’s Flight 7C’s. Almost no hop bitterness with aromatic notes of candied pineapple, tangerine peel, gentle resin, earthy undertones. Balanced by a pillow-y and juicy mouthfeel, this is definitely our go-to session beer just in time for spring.

A hybrid of ale and lager and between amber and brown in color, this beer is of the Northern German Altbier style. A nice amount of biscuit, toffee, and caramel in the malt aroma and flavor. These malt characters are noticeable at the forefront and fade to a dry finish; with a nice lingering, but not strong bitterness. Tons of flavor, but easy drinking for the warmer Atlanta days.

Nice wheat grain aroma with some tartness in the aroma and more on the flavor. The pH ended up around 3.2, making it pretty tart but still refreshing. True to style, this beer is only 3.3% ABV. The idea behind this beer was to make a bigger, bolder version of our popular Jemmy Dean Breakfast Stout. In doing so, we ran the hot wort from the boil kettle through several pounds of Sumatran coffee beans and dark Mexican chocolate in our hopback, lending notes of bittersweet chocolate, mocha and a touch of vanilla. During the transfer from the fermenter to the serving vessel, several gallons of cold pressed Guatemalan Antigua coffee were injected in-line. The cold press adds a smooth, yet robust coffee character that works perfectly with roasted malts. Read Less

Kettle soured with Lactobacillus Brevis and Plantarum, bright tartness and pineapple round out the bright acidity and flavor of this beer. To finish, we hopbursted this Pale with Azacca and Mosaic hops, and dry hopped at one pound per barrel with the same hops. One of our favorite indigenous craft beer phenomena has been the rise of the fruited berliner weisses affectionately called "Floridaweisse". We've been itching to put our own wrinkle on the style this year, and bring some of that tropical refreshing goodness to our beer list as spring gets started here in the ATL. The base of this beer is our house gose, soured with Atlanta Fresh Creamery yogurt and salted with a blend of sea salts we've perfected with our friends over at Beautiful Briny Sea in Grant Park. The beer was then generously dosed with Thai and sweet basil, fermented on grapefruit juice and pulp, and aged on grapefruit zest. We know our friends in Tampa would be proud! Read Less

Soured with lactobacillus bacteria in our brew kettle using Atlanta Fresh Creamery small batch yogurt, this beer has gentle but distinct tartness that plays wonderfully with the creamy wheat malt and crisp Pilsner malt character. After fermentation with brewer's yeast, we dry hopped this beer with one pound of Galaxy hops per barrel. Aromas of candied peaches and citrus cut beautifully against the creamy and soft character of the base beer, creating a wonderful pairing of hops, quenching tartness and full bodied character.
