Definitely a risk. Didn’t hold up completely, lost a little body and the coffee has gone a bit vegetal. But it has this really interesting cherry coffee note, and some of that signature Deviate chocolate malt base. No cardboard at all which is excellent.

Has held up well. Coffee less but definitely noticeable. Base stout shines in this bottle.

A 2017 classic from the cellar. Smooth as a baby, really subtle coffee and vanilla that really lets the base stout’s malt shine. Moderate carbonation. Nose is the story here — rich coffee and chocolate.
