Well, at least they tried. I think it got slightly wild. For that much malt not too malty, with some sour and metallic notes. Full on bready notes, with some coffee in the background. Not too bitter. Slightly disappointing. My run of good ales just ended.

Mallard Ale'oween beer festival (see what they did there?) Smooth oatmeal stout. Pleasent caramel notes dominate & it's fairly sweet but a bit thicker would really elevate this. Shame Norman W. Supped all the other dark ales dry before my visit! 🤬😆
