Heriot-Watt Beer Festival. Half. Black; a bit of thin, loose tan foam. Really unusual aroma, faint dark chocolate, maybe a bit of raisin, fruit cake and brandy. Light flavour but moderately thick mouthfeel; gently tangy, drying. Distinctive.

Heriot-Watt Beer Festival. Half. Somewhat hazy mid gold. Faintest syrup aroma. More syrup on the palate, though not overly sweet. Faintest fruitiness. Drinks fine but lacks character.

Heriot-Watt Beer Festival. Half. Pale red; thin palest pink head. Mild, indistinctly fruity aroma. Rather intensely juicy flavour, clean and bright, good balance between acidity and sweetness. Perhaps a bit concentrated for drinking in bulk but very good.
