Request a DemoBlake S is drinking a Dibs On Next Wave by Humble Sea Brewing Company at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
I didn't think I really dug this at the start, seemed a bit thin and too sweet, but as it warmed up the citrus-forward hop profile really stood out. Very juicy, albeit a bit sweet. Mandarin orange, grapefruit pith, and candied mango.
Blake S is drinking an Ulterior Modems by North Park Beer Company at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Damn this is delicious! Smooth, pillowy mouthfeel, low brix and super easy drinking. The Rikawa is putting in work here, hop profile is juicy af. Mandarin orange pith, pineapple, candied mango, quince jelly and green peppercorn. Myrcene lingers on finish.
Blake S is drinking a Triangle of Pantacles by Electric Brewing Co. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
This is definitely where it's at! Smooth, creamy mouthfeel, super easy drinking. Well-tempered brix for an Electric offering. Neutral malt. Hop profile is Grapefruit pith, mandarin orange, candied mango, orange Pez and passionfruit. Near-zero bitterness.
Earned the Tripping on TIPAs (Level 30) badge!Blake S is drinking a Never Sleep by Monkish Brewing Co. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Super smooth and ridiculously easy drinking. Low brix, neutral malt. Mandarin pith, candied mango and pineapple. Zero bitterness. Crushable.
Blake S is drinking a Back to the Phuture I by Pure Project Brewing at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Light mouthfeel, low brix and neutral malt. Hop profile is dank unripe stonefruit, passionfruit and juicy fruit gum. Medium bitterness in the finish.
Blake S is drinking a Juice Whomp by Humble Sea Brewing Company at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Thought this was a new one, but I'd had it before. Tasting notes are the same as last time. Would be more enjoyable if it was less sweet.
Blake S is drinking an Overgrown Estate by Pure Project Brewing at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Smooth mouthfeel, super easy drinking. Medium brix, but not overly sweet, neutral malt. Strawberry yogurt and cream of wheat. Hop profile is candied mango, honeydew melon and Dole fruit cup. Really nice!
Blake S is drinking a Ferris Whale by Humble Sea Brewing Company at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Easy drinking and well-hidden hidden ABV. That said, this not the best Humble Sea triple offering by a long shot. Astringent, fusel alcohol, saccharine sweetness, and a muddy hop profile dominated by grapefruit pith with a bit of gooseberry.
Blake S is drinking a Kinda Brooklyn by Finback Brewery at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
May be my least favorite of everything I've had from Finback. They're usually bangers, but this is just a saccharine sweet, muddy hop profile that tastes like orange tang.
Earned the Super Style: IPA - Imperial / Double (Level 10) badge!Blake S is drinking a Shovel Ready by Ghost Town Brewing at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
More IPL territory than pilsner. Very hoppy! Light bodied, clean ferment, biscuity malt. Lemongrass and grapefruit pith. Dry finish.
Blake S is drinking a Coffee Dino S'mores by Off Color Brewing at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Really surprised by the low average rating on this. It's a little thin in the mouthfeel, but big on flavor! Roasty, well-balanced sweetness with bitter baking cocoa and a ton of coffee flavor. Finish is coffee and earth. ABV is stupidly well-hidden.
Blake S is drinking a Jade Dust by Pure Project Brewing at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
This is another LCI. I'm not rating this one because I don't remember it, but that obviously means it really wasn't memorable.
Earned the Super Style: IPA - New England / Hazy (Level 30) badge!Blake S is drinking a Captain Save A Hop - Hazy IPA by Full Circle Brewing Company at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
This is an LCI. Don't remember this one being all that memorable. It was easy drinking, but nothing special.
Blake S is drinking a Winged Creatures by Wayfinder Beer at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
OG PNW hopped WCIPA. Sweet, biscuity caramel malt, pine resiny hops with some citrus pith and a hefty amount of bitterness. Super dry finish and very drinkable.
Blake S is drinking an Afterglow by Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Crooked Stave/Fremont collab. It sucks! Out loud! Literally tastes like alkaseltzer. Overly fizzy and effervescent with an artificial orange tang flavor.
Blake S is drinking an El Rollo by Coronado Brewing Company at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
This was surprisingly good! Very easy drinking, balanced bitterness WCIPA. Low brix, clean neutral malt bill. Hop profile is dank, resinous pine with lemongrass, passionfruit, grapefruit rind and unripe nectarine. Bitterness is present, but not invasive.
Earned the Better Together (Level 87) badge!Blake S is drinking a Wicked Juicy by Cellarmaker Brewing Company at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
This is delicious! Smooth mouthfeel and moderate brix. Caramel malt. Hop profile is very West Coast for a hazy, but it works well. Grapefruit pith, pine resin, guava, mandarin orange and dandelion greens. Medium bitterness and very dry finish.
Blake S is drinking a Project X: Metamorphosis by Mother Earth Brewing Company at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Light mouthfeel, strawberry yogurt, cream of wheat and wonder bread. Hop profile is guava, quince jelly, ripe apricot and fuji apple. Near-zero bitterness. Tons of fruit lingers on the palate.
Blake S is drinking a Reptilian Focus by Imprint Beer Co. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Substantial mouthfeel, moderate brix, but it's cloaked by some bitterness in the hops. Hop profile begins with juicy fruit gum and Dole fruit cup, but transitions to a pine resinous sticky sweet bitterness. Finishes with some hop burn and astringency.
Light and refreshing. Easy drinking, clean ferment, biscuity malt. Hop profile is pine resin and lemongrass. Mild, approachable bitterness.
